ABOUT

“The Land Improvement Contractors of America (LICA) is a national association dedicated to encourage high standards of workmanship in resource management, land improvement practices and to promote enterprises in the area of land improvement contracting. Men and women with determination, commitment, skills and ability to adapt to the constantly changing business environment built LICAʼs solid foundation.” And for over 60 years, Illinois LICA has been running strong, bringing people with these similar interests and passions for improving our natural resources together. Our contractors, throughout the state, are educated and committed to the professional conservation of our soil & water resources.

Contractor membership is the foundation of ILICA, but the association has much to owe its continued growth and expansion to our associate members - those persons or companies that manufacture or sell materials, equipment, and/or services to ILICA active contractor membership. Associates assist in providing the needed education and sponsorship vital to the success of ILICA education workshops, state convention, golf outings, membership drives, etc.

If your company is involved with excavation, earthmoving, landscaping, drainage, on-site waste treatment, paving, reclamation, trucking, etc., ILICA encourages you to consider becoming a member of the Illinois Land Improvement Contractors Association. ILICA is an expanding, not-for-profit association with over 200 members strong, providing access to a wide array of education and business resources to take your business to the next level.

WHAT MEMBERS SAY

BILL DEAN

LICA to me means a group of people in similar businesses that share many ideas, faults, & numerous situations we encounter through life.  Some become very good friends and acquaintances we share ideas with.

Education and resources that ILICA provides is a huge benefit.  The education that I have received over the years from different contractors in the organization is priceless. Lifelong personal relationships between contractors  & contractor’s families is one of the greatest benefits of ILICA.

Along with my 20 years of experience, Illinois LICA helps me keep up to date with the educational classes they offer.

The true benefits of ILICA are the friendships and business contacts that I have made, and the exchange of information that has help guide me to become the contractor I am today

It was then that I realized that the education I was getting through ILICA wasn’t just at workshops or education sessions but through all the conversations going on in between.  What I was learning would not only help in the success of my business but also help enrich my life.
