Illinois LICA Announces 2026 Scholarship Recipients

Three outstanding young leaders have been chosen as the 2026 Illinois LICA Scholarship winners, showcasing achievements and aspirations that reflect their drive to make a meaningful impact in their chosen fields.

ILICA Ladies Annual Calendar

1st Quarter

January/February

ILICA Convention: Implement planned ladies' activities at the ILICA Convention.

March

Scholarship Application: The ILICA scholarship application process deadline is March 15th. Winners will be notified by May 15th.
Committee Meeting: Provide updates to the ladies.
- Give updates to the board.
Board Meeting: Provide annual scholarship auction proceeds and current financial updates.

2nd Quarter

April

Scholarship Selection: A committee of ladies will be formed to review and score the scholarship applications.

May

Scholarship Recipient(s) Selected: Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 15th. If possible, a committee member or LICA member will be available to award the scholarship to the recipient at a schedule event. i.e. school awards banquet.
Board Meeting: Current financial updates.

June

Summer Picnic: Plan ladies' activity.

3rd Quarter

September

Board Meeting: Current financial updates and establish a date for the October ladies' committee meeting.

4th Quarter

October

Ladies Committee Meeting: Ladies committee meets (virtually or in person) and determines ladies’ day activities for the annual convention. This may be an on-site visit to determine lunch and shopping opportunities or research the area for craft or skill type presentations.

November

Board Meeting: Current financial updates and finalizing annual convention activities for the ladies.

Roles & Responsibilities

The Ladies Committee is open to all members’ and associates’ spouses and plays an important role in supporting the mission and community of Illinois LICA through the following responsibilities:

Planning and executing ladies’ programming at the Annual Convention.
Reviewing, scoring, and selecting recipients for the ILICA Scholarships.
Participating in opportunities that strengthen fellowship and engagement within the Ladies organization.

Current Issue

Illinois LICA Scholarship

Funded through the Annual Scholarship Fundraiser Auction held each year at the ILICA Convention, the Illinois LICA Scholarship invests in the next generation of our LICA family. This $1,500 award is available to high school seniors and upperclassmen who are the spouses, children, or grandchildren of an active Illinois LICA contractor member. Students pursuing any post–high school education or field of study are encouraged to apply.
